Mezzo-soprano Johanne Patry performs and records extensively in her native Quebec.

This October she will be performing in Panayoti Karousos' opera, ''Alexander the Great'', and will be heard on a recording project of the composer's works. Later this season Ms Patry will appear as alto soloist in Handel's ''Messiah''.

Other recent performances include Hector Berlioz' ''Les Nuits d'Eté'', Baba ''The Medium'' and in a rarely performed song cycle, ''The Confession Stone'', by Canadian composer Robert Fleming. Her repertoire also includes Mozart's ''Requiem'' and Bach's ''Passions'' and ''Magnificat''.

Ms Patry is a founding member of the highly acclaimed trio, Amaryllis, where she combines vocal and instrumental skills (classical guitar and recorder) in early music song interpretation.
