Marcel Beaulieu completed his Master Degree in Voice Performance at Université Laval. He sang in many opera houses as Opera Hamilton in Rigoletto (Conte Ceprano); Opera in Concert in the productions of Sadko (The King of the Sea), Rousalka (The Spirit of the Lake), Lucrezia Borgia (Don Alfonso) and Ernani (Silva), and in a wonderful production of Ambriose Thomas’ Mignon (Lothario); Opera Mississauga in Cosi fan tutte (Don Alfonso); Opéra de Québec in La Traviata (Marquis d’Obigny); Opera York in Adriana Lecouvreur (Le Prince de Bouillon); and lately with Opera Lyra of Ottawa in Salomé (First Soldier) and TrypTych Production in Toronto in the title role in the production of Verdi’s Attila.

In addition of his opera credits, Marcel Beaulieu keep a busy schedule in oratorios as the Dvorak’s Stabat Mater with The National Art Center Orchestra and The Kitchener/Waterloo Symphony Orchestra, Haydn’s Creation with Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra and Mozart’s Requiem with l’Orchestre Symphonique du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and Puccini’s Messa di Gloria with l’Orchestre Symphonique du Nouveau Monde. He has been a guest artist for the World Youth Day 2002 of Toronto for the Pope John Paul II. Lately he sang Rossini’s La Petite Messe Solennelle with Les Rhapsodes of Quebec, Fauré’s Requiem and Dubois’ The Seven Last Words of Christ with l’Orchestre Symphonique du Nouveau Monde and Liszt’s Missa Solemnis with l’Orchestre de la Société philharmonique de Montréal.

In 2008, Marcel Beaulieu will sing in Metz, France, the role of Palémon in the production of Jules Massenet’s Thaïs.
